About LOSOC

The LOSOC (List of Operators Subject to Organic Certification) is a system that provides detailed information about organic products marketed by operators who have been granted certification by accredited certification bodies under the surveillance of the Committee on Accreditation for Evaluation of Quality of Québec (CAEQ).

This system allows several display options: by certification scheme, by certification body, by operator, and by product. An overview of all relevant information is available on a printable page.

The information that is accessible on LOSOC, either through various lists or operator profiles, results from the processing of data taken from SIPAB, a database operated by the Conseil des appellations réservées et des termes valorisants (CARTV) since 2005.

The accredited certification bodies are responsible for capturing in the SIPAB data about certified organic products, operation sites where they are produced and companies that market them, including updates, after decisions about their certification or their decertification have been taken. As a result the LOSOC is a very reliable and easy to use tool.
